Shift:  1st (6:30 am – 4:00 pm)

Job Description:

Assists Production in developing, designing and implementing manufacturing methods and processes that support product quantity and quality goals. Analyzes and improves the production process and production flow. Must have a working knowledge of programmable machine controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical devices and processes. Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of various types of plastic materials and their specific properties. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided and required per the Employee Handbook

Specific Duties

  1. Analyze ways to improve the production process or flow of production
    1. Must be proficient in performing time studies of processes.
  2. Trouble-shoot production bottlenecks
  3. Special attention given to launch of new products
  4. Train hourly personnel in the use of machines and equipment, including all necessary safety precautions
  5. Work with Engineering, quality, and production on new and existing product development
    1. Must be able to develop new forming recipes
    2. Must have the ability to understand and execute a machine set up
    3. Must have the ability to troubleshoot 6 axis CNC programs
  6. Document all process changes and follow up to confirm achievement of desired on-going results
  7. Job may require minimal travel to customer or supplier or satellite facility.
  8. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
  9. Work with Project Engineer Coordinators to facilitate launch of new projects at satellite facilities.
  10. Performs various other duties as directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager/Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

B.S. or A.S. degree in the Engineering or Manufacturing field, or practical experience in a machine intensive manufacturing environment

Department: Assembly or Thermoforming

Plant Location: Wapello, IA

Pay Grade: $12.09-$14.45/hr

Shift: 1st Shift 6:30 am – 3:00 pm CST

Job Description:

Perform a multitude of value added tasks using a wide array of tools, jigs, and fixtures per Supervision.  The plant helper will also be required to perform the second operator function inside a manufacturing cell for 2-person operations.

Specific Duties

  1. Perform standardized work per the Manufacturing Plan’s Process Methods.
  2. Safely load and unload CNC routing machines.
  3. Pack finished goods for shipment.
  4. Serve as the second operator in the manufacturing cell.
  5. Operate a scrap grinder.
  6. Perform value add assembly operations.
  7. Meet daily production goals as efficiently as possible.
  8. Record pertinent data in real time monitoring system (IQMS).
  9. Perform any other work as directed per Supervision.

Department: Thermoforming

Plant Location: Wapello, Iowa

Shift:  2nd (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm)
            3rd (10:30 pm – 7:00 am)

Job Description:

Must have mechanical ability and be able to read, monitor, and understand various measures, gauges, and instruments. Must safely set up and operate rotary thermoforming machines and route formed parts on CNC routing machines when necessary.  Must follow the Manufacturing Plan at all times.

Specific Duties

  1. Set up and operate Rotary thermoforming machines in a safe manner.
  2. Complete all necessary paperwork for set ups and production.
  3. Monitor quality of parts per Manufacturing Plan.
  4. Ensure machine is running at the standard cycle time.
  5. Make heat/timing adjustments as necessary.
  6. Safely load and unload CNC routing machines.
  7. Pack finished goods for shipment.
  8. Perform any other work as directed per Supervision.
  9. Perform standardized work per the Manufacturing Plan’s Process Methods.
  10. Record pertinent data in real time monitoring system (IQMS).
