Job Description:

Must have mechanical ability and be able to read, monitor and understand various measures, gauges and instruments. Must learn to set-up and operate Extrusion Machinery in a prescribed period of time in order to progress to operator’s status. Very heavy lifting is required daily. Must be physically able to carry heavy loads up stairways and ladders. Performs other work as directed by Supervisor. Must complete Work Keys testing requirements.

Specific Duties

  1. Teardown, setup, and maintain all equipment systems (non-electrical).
  2. Operate and monitor extruders during production of plastic sheet.
  3. Perform quality checks on extruded material.
  4. Band and barcode finished skids of extruded sheet.
  5. Perform standardized work per the Manufacturing Plan’s Process Methods.
  6. Perform all necessary IQMS/Shop Data operations.
  7. Perform other tasks as directed by the lead operator or shift supervisor.

Job Description:

Responsible for in-depth troubleshooting and the repair, maintenance, and adjustment of all industrial production machinery and processing equipment, secondary trim equipment, mold shop machines and equipment, material handling and transfer equipment and building systems.  Must have the ability to recognize defects and possess problem-solving skills.  Responsible for the fabrication and installation of new and used machinery and equipment.  Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate source of trouble.  Inspects new parts to detect imperfections and used parts to determine reason for failure and/or necessary changes in dimensional requirements.  Repairs or replaces defective parts as necessary.  Responsible to insure proper compliance to safety and lock-out regulations, codes, and operating requirements.  May direct the activities and training of Maintenance Helper Trainees, and Preventive Maintenance job classifications.  Performs other work as directed.

All applicants will be required to take a Maintenance Aptitude test that will check basic maintenance knowledge of the Specific Duties listed below.

  1. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematic diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications
  2. Must have the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and install single and 3-phase electrical power, and controls circuits including 480 volt service using a digital multi-meter.
  3. Must have the ability to troubleshoot, install, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
  4. Ability to fabricate metal using an acetylene torch and MIG welding techniques a plus.
  5. Understanding of PLC’s, troubleshooting. Program Logic, Circuits, and drives a plus.
  6. Understanding of common plumbing practices a plus.
  7. Understanding of Thermoforming and/or Extrusion operational process a plus.

Job Description

Works directly with the Controls Engineer for overseeing plant manufacturing machine controls and systems. Must be knowledgeable of the electrical and electronic aspects of plant facilities and equipment, and related safety precautions for all employees who operate equipment. Must be proficient in the use of computers and requires experience with a variety of PLC, OIT, and DCS Systems, including wireless networking.

Specific Duties

  1. Experience with electrical redesign and installation of new controls and components on existing equipment.
  2. Troubleshoots electrical, electronic circuits, PLC’s, and VFD’s.
  3. Works with and trains Maintenance personnel on troubleshooting problems with machines.
  4. Works with and trains Production and Engineering personnel in the operation of electronic controls and safety devices.
  5. Programs logic changes and robotics applications.
  6. Constantly monitors the working status of all control equipment and recommends repairs, upgrades, and purchases of new control equipment where necessary.
  7. Knowledge of developing and maintaining methods for collecting machine performance and statistical information.
  8. Generates electrical schematics and drawings for existing and new equipment.
  9. Some Travel Requirements for installation, start up, or project upgrades at other facilities
  10. May report to 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor at times if no major ongoing projects or training

The Safety & Compliance Manager will ensure everyone in the company complies with regulatory, health & safety laws/policies. They are also responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe and productive workplace.

 Responsible for the Safety and Compliance programs of the company, including OSHA compliance. The S & C Manager is responsible for maintaining thorough and accurate records of employee training, workplace incidents, and maintains training manuals and updated training agenda. They will be proactive in monitoring work sites and work processes to assure safety compliance, and to make suggestions for improvement. The S & C Manager is responsible for enforcing work practices and regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters

Specific Duties

  1. Directs, develops, enforces, and provides training for safety and compliance.
  2. Meets monthly with top management to cover recent incident experience, voice key concerns, and make suggestions for program improvement, including compliance
  3. Develop & execute health & safety plans in the workplace according to company policy and legal guidelines
  4. Trains supervisory personnel on Safety programs
  5. Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and company policy
  6. Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
  7. Conduct training and presentations for health & safety matters and incident prevention
  8. Prepares and maintains OSHA and workers compensation incident reports, logs, and incident investigation reports
